Scale Faster with Imagit Managed IT and Engineering Services
Imagit provides global white-label IT professional services and engineering talent for MSPs and VARs, specializing in high-stakes infrastructure deployments.
Overview
Imagit is a premier global provider of IT professional services and engineering talent, specifically designed to support Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Value-Added Resellers (VARs), and enterprise technology teams. Founded with a focus on high-quality technical execution, Imagit has established itself as a critical partner for organizations that need to scale their physical and logical IT infrastructure across diverse geographic locations.
The company’s core service portfolio includes on-site engineering (Smart Hands), network design and implementation, data center services, and comprehensive project management for large-scale technology rollouts. Imagit serves a global market, leveraging a vast network of highly skilled engineers to provide consistent service delivery in North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM.
Historically, Imagit has focused on solving the "last mile" of IT services—the physical presence required to install, configure, and maintain hardware that cannot be managed remotely. Their business focus is centered on being the premier "partner to partners," allowing technology companies to expand their service footprint without the overhead of hiring full-time staff in every market. Today, they are recognized for their ability to handle complex, multi-site deployments that require a high degree of technical precision and logistical coordination.
Positioning
Imagit positions itself as the "Engineers behind the Brands," a strategic behind-the-scenes partner that enables growth for IT service providers. Their messaging focuses on three core pillars: Reliability, Scalability, and Expertise. In a market often fragmented by low-cost labor marketplaces or rigid global integrators, Imagit carves out a middle ground that combines the agility of a local provider with the standardized processes of a global firm.
Their competitive positioning strategy is built on being a high-end alternative to generic field service platforms. While platforms like Field Nation or WorkMarket focus on volume and price, Imagit positions itself on quality and technical accountability. They target mid-market and enterprise-level MSPs and VARs who cannot afford the brand risk of a failed deployment.
Key messaging highlights their "Channel-Only" commitment, which is a powerful differentiator against large global integrators who might also sell directly to the end-user. By positioning themselves as a pure-play partner, they eliminate the "co-opetition" anxiety prevalent in the IT channel. Their brand is synonymous with the "Gold Standard" of field engineering, targeting decision-makers who value project success and technical accuracy over the lowest possible hourly rate.
Differentiation
The core of Imagit's product offering is its "Smart Hands" and professional services automation, which provide a seamless extension of a client's internal team. Their differentiation lies in the breadth and depth of their technical stack support, ranging from SD-WAN and network migrations to data center consolidations and cloud transitions.
Key technical advantages include:
- Global Reach: The ability to deploy certified engineers to virtually any location worldwide within tight SLAs.
- Specialized Technical Tracks: Unlike general labor providers, Imagit offers specialized expertise in complex areas like wireless site surveys, structured cabling, and multi-site technology rollouts.
- White-Label Integration: Their services are designed to be consumed as a product by other IT providers, featuring integrated reporting and project tracking that aligns with the partner’s brand.
- Lifecycle Management: Beyond simple installation, they provide ongoing maintenance and "Day 2" support, ensuring that the technology they deploy remains functional and optimized.
Their innovation is focused on the orchestration of field services—using data-driven project management to reduce the "failure to launch" rate often associated with large-scale distributed hardware deployments.
Ideal Customer Profile
The ideal Imagit customer is a mid-to-large enterprise or a Managed Service Provider (MSP) that manages a geographically dispersed footprint.
- Company Size: Mid-market ($100M+ revenue) to Fortune 500 enterprises.
- Industries: Retail, Healthcare, Logistics, Finance, and Hospitality.
- Technical Maturity: Organizations that have a centralized IT strategy but lack the localized physical presence to execute it.
- Team Composition: IT teams that are "top-heavy" with architects and engineers who need to outsource the physical labor of deployments.
- Budget: Organizations with dedicated capital expenditure (CapEx) for infrastructure refreshes or operational budgets for ongoing maintenance.
Best Fit
Imagit excels in the following scenarios:
- Rapid Multi-Site Deployments: When a company needs to roll out new hardware or network infrastructure across dozens or hundreds of locations simultaneously, Imagit’s global field tech network ensures consistent execution.
- Hybrid Workforce Support: For organizations struggling to provide white-glove hardware support to remote executives or satellite offices that lack on-site IT staff.
- Infrastructure Life Cycle Management: When a business needs a single partner to handle the entire "cradle-to-grave" process of IT assets, including procurement, imaging, deployment, and certified E-waste disposal.
- Bridging the Skills Gap: For mid-market companies that have high-level architects but lack the "boots on the ground" to perform physical installations, cabling, and rack-and-stack services.
Offerings
Imagit categorizes its offerings into three main service lines:
- Imagit Global Services: On-demand field technicians and "Smart Hands" for installations, moves, adds, and changes (MAC) worldwide.
- Imagit Engineered Solutions: High-level architectural design, network auditing, and specialized engineering for complex wireless, storage, and cloud migrations.
- Imagit Logistics & Staging: Centralized warehousing, hardware procurement, custom kitting, and white-glove delivery services to ensure equipment arrives ready for immediate installation.
- Channel Partner Program: Specialized white-label services for MSPs and VARs who want to expand their geographic reach without hiring full-time staff in every city.

Key Features
Imagit’s value proposition is built around three core pillars:
Global Field Services
- On-Demand Smart Hands: Access to over 400,000 technicians globally for physical troubleshooting, rack/stack, and cabling.
- Consistent Quality: Standardized Work Order (SOW) execution ensures that an installation in London looks exactly like an installation in Tokyo.
Project Management Office (PMO)
- Single Point of Contact: Every major engagement is assigned a dedicated Project Manager, eliminating the need for clients to manage multiple local vendors.
- Real-time Reporting: Detailed documentation, including "after" photos and signal strength tests, provided for every site visit.
Configuration & Logistics
- Staging & Kitting: Hardware is unboxed, updated, configured, and re-boxed at centralized hubs to minimize "dead on arrival" (DOA) risks at the site.
- IT Asset Disposition (ITAD): Secure data destruction and environmentally friendly recycling of decommissioned hardware.
Use Cases
- Retail Digital Transformation: A national retail chain utilized Imagit to install new Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and guest Wi-Fi across 200 locations in six weeks, ensuring minimal disruption to store operations.
- Financial Services Branch Consolidation: During a merger, a large bank engaged Imagit to decommission hardware at closed branches and securely transport/reinstall core networking gear at "surviving" locations.
- Manufacturing IoT Deployment: A global manufacturer used Imagit’s engineering team to design and install a ruggedized wireless mesh network across a 1-million-square-foot facility to support autonomous warehouse robots.
- Data Center Migration: A SaaS provider leveraged Imagit for a "lift and shift" operation, moving physical server racks from an on-premise closet to a Tier 3 colocation facility over a single weekend.
Pricing Models
Imagit typically utilizes three primary pricing structures:
- Project-Based (Fixed Fee): Best for defined rollouts (e.g., "Install 500 WAPs across 50 sites"). Pricing is based on the scope of work, estimated hours per site, and travel requirements.
- Time & Materials (T&M): Ideal for "Smart Hands" or reactive support where the exact duration is unknown. Rates vary based on the technician's skill level (Level 1 vs. Lead Engineer) and the urgency of the request.
- Retainer/Subscription: For ongoing maintenance or a guaranteed number of monthly support hours, providing a lower blended hourly rate.
- Cost Drivers: Key factors include geographic location (urban vs. remote), after-hours/weekend requirements, and the level of technical certification required (e.g., CCNA vs. basic technician).
Technical Requirements
Because Imagit is a service provider, the physical "requirements" center on the environment they will be working in:
- Connectivity: For remote configuration, sites must have active internet circuits or LTE out-of-band management access.
- Access Controls: Physical access to the site (keys, fobs, or security escorts) must be coordinated 48 hours in advance.
- Power & Cooling: Sites must meet the environmental specifications of the hardware being installed (NEMA ratings, HVAC capacity).
- Documentation: Clients should provide existing network diagrams or "as-is" documentation to ensure technicians can accurately identify existing infrastructure.
Business Requirements
To successfully engage with Imagit, organizations should meet the following business prerequisites:
- Defined Project Scope: While Imagit offers engineering services, engagements are most successful when the client has a clear understanding of the business outcome (e.g., "all branches must have SD-WAN by Q3").
- Stakeholder Alignment: Buy-in from both the C-suite (for budgetary approval) and local site managers (to grant physical access to server rooms and IDF closets) is essential.
- Asset Tracking Readiness: Organizations should have a baseline inventory or be prepared to adopt Imagit’s tracking processes to ensure hardware is accounted for during large-scale rollouts.
- Communication Channels: A designated project lead is required to interface with Imagit’s Project Management Office (PMO) to facilitate scheduling and troubleshooting.
Implementation Timeline
Implementation with Imagit typically follows these phases:
- Discovery & Planning (2-4 Weeks): Initial consultation to define technical requirements, site audits, and logistics planning.
- Procurement & Staging (2-6 Weeks): Sourcing hardware and configuring/imaging devices at an Imagit configuration center. This varies based on global supply chain conditions.
- Pilot Phase (1-2 Weeks): Deployment at 1-3 "test" sites to validate the "Golden Image" and installation workflow.
- Global Rollout (Variable): Scaling to all remaining sites. Depending on the volume, Imagit can often hit 10-50 sites per week.
- Project Closeout (1-2 Weeks): Delivery of "as-built" documentation, photos of installations, and final asset reporting.
Support Options
Imagit offers a tiered support structure to meet varying business needs:
