Streamline Your Business Operations with One Source Solutions
One Source provides fully managed Communications Lifecycle Management and IT services for enterprises, unifying disparate tech stacks into a single, optimized stream.
Overview
One Source is a premier provider of Managed Computing and Communications (MC2) services, designed to help enterprise organizations navigate the complexities of modern technology infrastructure. Founded with a focus on simplifying the management of telecommunications and IT, the company has grown into a comprehensive partner that oversees the entire technology lifecycle for mid-market and enterprise clients.
The vendor’s core offering revolves around Communications Lifecycle Management (CLM), Managed IT services, and Cybersecurity. They serve a diverse range of industries, including retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and financial services, where managing hundreds or thousands of distributed locations is a primary challenge. One Source addresses these pain points by consolidating vendor relationships, auditing expenses to recover lost capital, and providing 24/7/365 technical support.
With a significant market presence in North America, One Source has established itself as a critical partner for organizations looking to scale without proportionally increasing their administrative overhead. Their service portfolio includes:
- Telecom & Mobility Management: Audit, optimization, and procurement of global connectivity.
- Managed IT Services: Cloud migration, infrastructure management, and help desk services.
- Cybersecurity: Threat detection, response, and compliance management.
- Professional Services: Strategic consulting for digital transformation and network architecture.
By combining these disciplines, One Source provides a holistic approach to technology management that traditional niche providers cannot match.
Positioning
One Source positions itself as the "Single Source of Truth" for complex enterprise technology environments. Their market strategy is built on the premise that IT complexity is the primary driver of wasted spend and operational inefficiency. They differentiate themselves by moving beyond the role of a standard Managed Service Provider (MSP) to become a strategic Managed Services Partner.
In a market often fragmented between pure-play Telecom Expense Management (TEM) firms and traditional MSPs, One Source occupies the middle ground. Their messaging focuses on three core pillars:
- Cost Neutrality: Positioning their services as a self-funding investment by highlighting the significant savings generated through their auditing and optimization processes.
- Operational Simplicity: Reducing the "vendor sprawl" that plagues modern enterprises by consolidating dozens of carrier and IT relationships into a single point of contact.
- Strategic Empowerment: Messaging tailored to C-suite executives that emphasizes the removal of tactical burdens, allowing the internal workforce to focus on high-value digital initiatives.
Their brand is synonymous with accountability. While competitors might provide a software tool and leave the execution to the client, One Source positions their white-glove service and "do-it-for-you" execution as their primary competitive advantage.
Differentiation
The One Source product suite is uniquely integrated, combining Communications Lifecycle Management (CLM) with Managed IT and Security services. While many competitors focus solely on software-based expense management or technical helpdesk support, One Source provides a closed-loop system where the data from expense management informs IT infrastructure decisions.
Key technical differentiators include:
- Unified Managed Services Portal: A proprietary platform that provides real-time visibility into global inventory, expenses, and service tickets across all technology categories.
- Proactive Expense Management: Automated auditing and optimization engines that constantly scan for billing errors, unused services, and better-market-rate opportunities.
- Integrated Security & Connectivity: They don't just manage the bill; they manage the edge. Their products include managed SD-WAN, cybersecurity, and cloud voice solutions that are pre-optimized for cost and performance.
- Vendor Agnostic Integration: Their ability to sit on top of hundreds of different carriers and hardware providers ensures that the client is never locked into a specific technology stack, providing ultimate flexibility as the business scales.
By automating the lifecycle of an asset—from procurement and deployment to management and decommissioning—One Source eliminates the "noise" of IT administration.
Ideal Customer Profile
The ideal One Source customer is a mid-market to enterprise-level organization (500 to 10,000+ employees) with a distributed footprint. They typically operate in industries like Retail, Healthcare, Finance, or Logistics where connectivity across multiple branches is mission-critical. This customer usually spends over $50,000 per month on telecom and IT services and is looking to move away from reactive, 'fire-fighting' IT management toward a proactive, managed lifecycle model. They value consolidated reporting and are often undergoing a digital transformation or M&A activity that requires rapid scaling of IT resources.
Best Fit
- Enterprise IT Asset Consolidation: Organizations struggling with 'vendor sprawl' who want to consolidate hardware, software, and telecom procurement into a single managed portal.
- Multi-Location Managed Services: Businesses with hundreds or thousands of retail, clinical, or branch locations that require standardized connectivity and hardware deployments.
- Telecom Expense Management (TEM) Optimization: Companies with high monthly recurring costs in wireline and wireless services looking for automated auditing and cost recovery.
- Lean IT Teams: Organizations that lack the internal headcount to manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement and staging to decommissioning.
Offerings
- One Source TEM: Focuses on telecom expense management, auditing, and invoice processing to drive immediate ROI through cost savings.
- One Source Managed Connectivity: A fully managed network service including SD-WAN, internet sourcing, and 24/7 NOC monitoring.
- One Source ITAM: A hardware-focused offering covering procurement, configuration, deployment, and disposal of physical IT assets.
- One View Portal: The proprietary software platform included with managed services that provides the centralized visibility and reporting engine.
- Mobility Management: A specialized tier for managing corporate mobile fleets, including MDM (Mobile Device Management) software and helpdesk support for end-users.

Pricing Models
One Source typically utilizes a 'Managed Services' pricing model tailored to the scale of the environment:
- Platform + Management Fee: A monthly recurring fee based on the volume of assets (nodes, locations, or lines) being managed within the One View portal.
- Percentage of Managed Spend: For TEM-focused engagements, pricing may be calculated as a small percentage of the total monthly telecom/IT spend being audited and processed.
- Project-Based Fees: One-time costs for initial audits, hardware deployments, or large-scale migrations.
- Gain-Share Options: In specific cost-recovery scenarios, a portion of the savings identified through auditing may be used to offset implementation costs.
- Cost Drivers: The primary drivers include the number of locations, the complexity of the integration with ERP systems, and the level of 'White Glove' support required for hardware.
Technical Requirements
- Browser Compatibility: The One View portal is a web-based SaaS application compatible with the latest versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox.
- Connectivity: For managed network services, One Source requires access to existing MDF/IDF closets and coordination with local ISPs.
- Data Exports: Capability to receive flat-file (CSV, XML) or API-based data transfers from existing vendors.
- Hardware Standards: While vendor-neutral, One Source provides optimized support for major OEMs like Cisco, Meraki, HP, and Dell.
Business Requirements
To successfully adopt One Source, organizations should have:
- Centralized Decision Making: A clear understanding of who owns the IT budget across departments (IT, Finance, Operations) to ensure the platform reflects the entire organization's spend.
- Process Readiness: Willingness to transition from manual, spreadsheet-based asset tracking to an automated, platform-driven workflow.
- Stakeholder Buy-in: Engagement from the Finance department is critical, as One Source often integrates deeply with Accounts Payable for automated invoice processing.
- Dedicated Project Lead: While One Source provides managed services, a designated internal point of contact is needed to define business rules and approval workflows.
Implementation Timeline
A typical One Source implementation follows a staggered approach:
- Discovery & Data Gathering (Weeks 1-3): Auditing existing contracts, gathering invoices, and identifying all active IT and telecom assets.
- Platform Setup & Configuration (Weeks 4-6): Customizing the 'One View' portal, setting up user permissions, and defining approval hierarchies.
