WiredIQ: Managed IT, Security, and Unified Communications Platform
WiredIQ provides a unified managed services platform combining SD-WAN, UCaaS, and security into a single appliance for mid-market and enterprise businesses.
Overview
WiredIQ is a comprehensive technology provider that specializes in the convergence of managed services, security, and unified communications. Founded on the principle that modern businesses shouldn't have to manage a fragmented mess of service providers, WiredIQ delivers an integrated "Business-in-a-Box" solution. Their core offering centers around a unified platform that combines Managed SD-WAN, Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), and advanced security features into a single, cohesive ecosystem.
The company primarily serves small-to-mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) and multi-location businesses that require enterprise-grade reliability without the overhead of managing multiple vendors. WiredIQ’s market presence is defined by its ability to act as a single point of accountability for a client's entire digital infrastructure. Their history is marked by a transition from traditional telecommunications into a sophisticated managed services provider that addresses the modern challenges of cloud migration and remote work.
WiredIQ’s service portfolio includes:
- Unified Communications: High-definition voice, video conferencing, and instant messaging.
- Managed Network Services: Intelligent SD-WAN and high-speed internet connectivity.
- Security & Compliance: Managed firewalls, PCI compliance tools, and threat detection.
- Smart Building Technology: Integration with security cameras and door access systems.
By consolidating these services, WiredIQ helps organizations reduce operational complexity, lower costs, and ensure that mission-critical applications—particularly real-time communications—perform optimally regardless of network conditions.
Positioning
WiredIQ positions itself as the "Single Source" for the modern enterprise's technology needs. Their strategic positioning is built on the concept of "The Intelligent Office," where connectivity, communication, and security are treated as a single, inseparable utility. They target organizations that are frustrated by the complexity of the "vendor sprawl" associated with digital transformation—specifically those tired of managing separate contracts for their phones, their internet, and their firewall.
In terms of competitive messaging, WiredIQ differentiates itself from "Over-the-Top" (OTT) UCaaS providers like RingCentral or 8x8 by emphasizing that they own the edge of the network. While OTT providers often blame the customer's internet connection for poor call quality, WiredIQ’s messaging focuses on "Total Quality Management." They position themselves as a premium, managed alternative to the DIY approach, appealing to IT directors and business owners who value uptime and integrated security over the lowest possible per-user price point.
Their brand is synonymous with reliability and simplification. By positioning the BrainBox as the "brain" of the office, they move the conversation away from individual features and toward business continuity and operational efficiency. This allows them to compete effectively against both large national carriers (who often lack personalized service) and niche software providers (who lack network depth).
Differentiation
The primary differentiator for WiredIQ is their proprietary "BrainBox" appliance, a converged edge device that integrates multiple enterprise functions into a single managed point of presence. While most competitors offer UCaaS, SD-WAN, and security as disparate virtualized services, WiredIQ consolidates these into a unified hardware-software stack. This integration allows for superior Quality of Service (QoS) management, as the BrainBox can prioritize voice and video traffic at the packet level before it even leaves the building.
Key technical advantages include:
- Integrated SD-WAN: Their built-in SD-WAN capabilities provide seamless failover and load balancing across multiple internet circuits, ensuring that communications remain uninterrupted even during primary link failures.
- Security-First Architecture: The platform includes a robust managed firewall, intrusion prevention, and secure remote access (VPN) capabilities, eliminating the need for separate security appliances.
- IoT and Building Automation: WiredIQ extends beyond standard communications by offering integration with IoT devices, including building access control, cameras, and environmental sensors, all managed through the same interface.
- Proprietary Software Stack: By developing their own unified communications software rather than white-labeling a third-party platform, WiredIQ can rapidly innovate and customize features to meet specific enterprise workflows.
This "all-in-one" approach reduces the complexity of the edge network, lowers hardware footprints, and provides a single pane of glass for monitoring the health of the entire office infrastructure.
Ideal Customer Profile

Introduction
Welcome to the WiredIQ Strategic Buying Guide. In an era where business connectivity is fragmented across multiple vendors for voice, security, and networking, WiredIQ offers a unique Managed Services Platform (MSP) approach. By consolidating SD-WAN, Unified Communications (UCaaS), and Managed Security into a single edge device—the "BrainBox"—WiredIQ aims to eliminate the complexity of managing disparate IT stacks.
This guide is designed for IT directors and business owners who are evaluating WiredIQ as a solution to streamline their infrastructure. You will learn about the platform’s core capabilities, including its PCI/HIPAA compliant security framework, its "one-call" support model, and how its integrated hardware-software approach differs from traditional cloud-only providers. By the end of this guide, you will have the necessary criteria to determine if WiredIQ’s consolidated managed services model aligns with your organizational goals.
Key Features
WiredIQ’s value proposition centers on four core pillars:
- The BrainBox (Edge Orchestration): A proprietary on-site appliance that replaces the firewall, router, and phone system controller. It manages SD-WAN traffic, ensuring voice packets are prioritized over data to prevent dropped calls.
- Unified Communications (UCaaS): A full-featured suite including HD video conferencing, mobile/desktop apps, SMS/MMS capabilities, and advanced call center features (queues, IVR, recording).
- Managed Security (SECaaS): Enterprise-grade security including stateful packet inspection, intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS), content filtering, and automated security patches.
- SD-WAN & Failover: Intelligent path selection that monitors circuit health in real-time. If a primary fiber link fails, the system sub-second fails over to a secondary link (e.g., LTE or Cable) without dropping active voice calls.
- Consolidated Management: A unified portal for managing all locations, providing visibility into bandwidth utilization, call quality metrics, and security threats across the entire enterprise.
Use Cases
- Healthcare Multi-Clinic: A regional dental group uses WiredIQ to connect 15 offices. The BrainBox ensures HIPAA compliance via encrypted tunnels, while the unified phone system allows a centralized receptionist to handle calls for all locations.
- Retail/Restaurant Chain: A quick-service restaurant chain uses WiredIQ's SD-WAN to ensure that credit card processing (PCI compliance) never goes down. If their primary cable internet fails, the BrainBox switches to LTE instantly, keeping the POS system live.
- Professional Services (Legal/Accounting): A mid-sized law firm utilizes WiredIQ to replace an aging on-premise PBX. They leverage the "Find Me/Follow Me" feature and mobile app to ensure attorneys are reachable whether in court or at the office, all while maintaining a single professional business identity.
- Education/K-12: A charter school uses WiredIQ to manage campus-wide Wi-Fi, classroom VoIP, and content filtering to comply with CIPA (Children's Internet Protection Act) regulations.
Pricing Models
WiredIQ typically utilizes a monthly recurring revenue (MRR) model with some upfront capital expenditure:
