ZeroOutages: Enterprise SD-WAN & Secure Cloud Connectivity

ZeroOutages provides managed SD-WAN and SASE solutions for global enterprises, delivering patented multi-WAN redundancy and automated failover to ensure 100% uptime.

Overview

ZeroOutages is a leading provider of wide-area network (WAN) optimization and SD-WAN solutions, specializing in ensuring 100% connectivity uptime for businesses of all sizes. Founded with a focus on solving the inherent unreliability of standard internet connections, the company has evolved into a comprehensive SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) provider. Headquartered in the United States, ZeroOutages serves a global clientele ranging from small-to-midsized businesses (SMBs) to large multi-site enterprises and government agencies.

The company’s core offering centers on its proprietary SD-WAN technology, which aggregates multiple internet connections (such as Fiber, Starlink, 5G, and Cable) into a single, reliable virtual pipe. This approach mitigates the risk of downtime and optimizes application performance through intelligent traffic steering. Over the years, ZeroOutages has expanded its portfolio to include advanced cybersecurity features, remote access solutions, and global private network services. Their market presence is characterized by a strong emphasis on managed services, where they provide not only the hardware and software but also the ongoing monitoring and management required to maintain complex network architectures. By focusing on the intersection of connectivity and security, ZeroOutages helps organizations transition away from expensive, legacy MPLS networks toward more flexible, cost-effective, and resilient cloud-ready infrastructures.

Positioning

ZeroOutages positions itself as the "Uptime Specialist" in the crowded SD-WAN and SASE market. Their competitive strategy is built on the promise of business continuity; while other vendors focus heavily on sheer bandwidth or complex security configurations, ZeroOutages leads with the message that "Connectivity is Everything." They target market segments that cannot afford even a few minutes of downtime, such as healthcare facilities, financial institutions, and real-time manufacturing environments.

In terms of brand positioning, ZeroOutages occupies the space between high-end, complex enterprise solutions (like Cisco Viptela or VMware VeloCloud) and basic small-business routers. They differentiate themselves by offering enterprise-grade features—such as deep packet inspection and multi-path optimization—with a simplified management interface and a fully managed service layer. Their messaging frequently highlights the "hidden costs" of downtime and the limitations of traditional "Active/Passive" failover. By positioning their solution as a comprehensive "Network-as-a-Service," they appeal to IT Directors who are looking to outsource the complexity of WAN management while maintaining high standards for security and reliability.

Differentiation

ZeroOutages’ product suite is anchored by its patented Intelligent Multi-Path technology, which provides granular control over how traffic is distributed across multiple WAN links. Unlike standard failover solutions that simply switch from a primary to a backup link, ZeroOutages utilizes active-active bonding and real-time path testing. This allows for "seamless failover," where voice calls (VoIP) and terminal sessions do not drop even if one of the underlying internet circuits fails completely.

A key technical advantage is their integrated SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) framework, which combines SD-WAN capabilities with robust security features like cloud-based firewalls, global private backbones, and ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access). Their platforms are designed to solve the "last mile" problem by using automated traffic shaping and prioritization to ensure that mission-critical applications—such as Zoom, Salesforce, or ERP systems—always receive priority bandwidth. Furthermore, their hardware and virtual appliances are designed for rapid deployment, featuring "Zero-Touch Provisioning" that allows branch offices to be brought online in minutes. Their unique ability to provide a global private backbone also allows international organizations to bypass the congested public internet, significantly reducing latency for cross-border data transfers.

Ideal Customer Profile

The ideal ZeroOutages customer is a mid-market to enterprise-level organization (50 to 5,000+ employees) that views internet connectivity as a utility as vital as electricity. They typically operate across multiple locations (retail, healthcare, or branch offices) and have a high dependency on cloud-based applications (Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Zoom). This customer often struggles with 'brownouts' (poor performance) rather than just 'blackouts' and requires a solution that can intelligently manage traffic across diverse ISP links. They value a 'managed service' approach where they can offload the complexity of WAN management to experts, allowing their internal IT team to focus on higher-value business initiatives. Budget-wise, they are looking for a high ROI by replacing expensive, rigid MPLS circuits with a combination of lower-cost, high-speed commodity broadband links.
